Mikhail Bakaev is now a home-grown player
Professional Football League of Kazakhstan has increased the list of players who come under a definition of a "home-grown" player.
Football players Sergey Kutsov and Vyacheslav Kotlyar have addressed the question to PFLK to increase the list of players who come under a definition of a "home-grown" player, to include players with Kazakhstan nationality who have already been registered by the League when a new rule regarding "home-grown" players was set in place.
On the PFLK general meeting a positive decision was granted. Hence, Mikhail Bakaev, who has Kazakhstan passport, will continue to play for Kairat as a "home-grown" player.
Bakaev has recently signed a new contract with Kairat keeping him in Almaty until December 2019.
