Salzburg on the wings
Kairat lost to Salzburg in the UEFA Youth League.
Even before the second leg against Austrian side, in fairness, everything was already decided – too many goals were conceded at Salzburg. The main goal for Kairat was to end UEFA Youth League campaign on a high note.

Only most loyal fans turned up for the game at Almaty Central Stadium. Despite the cold and poor result in the first leg, our supporters still decided to follow our youngsters. The club would like show its appreciation to those supporters.
Salzburg arrived at Almaty without its main striker – Berisha. But despite the loss of the player who is orginally from Albania, guests had good selection of forwards who created the danger. Kairat was missing Evseev, who was sent off in the last game. His position was taken by Aibar Nurdauliyev.
The beginning of the game was dominated by Salzburg, Sturmberger had his attempt, but far from danger. Kairat responded with a dangerous set-piece, the cross found Aitore's head, but the ball went straight to the keeper.
Salzburg opened the score quickly. Kairat managed to get the danger away from the corner, but Meisl was first to the rebound – 0:1.
Labodovskiy's side again responded with a set-piece. This time Kasym was on the receiving end and Bartolamej Zynel again was forced to save.
At the beginning of the second half Kairat had several corners, but every time Austrian defenders did well to block the shots. Kairat changed its formation a bit, but it did not bring any noticeable changes into the game.
Kairat lost to Salzburg at home and is out of the UEFA Youth League.
