About club

FC Kairat was founded in 1954, previously used to be named Dinamo Almaty. According to the Decree of the Presidium of the USSR ACCTU and the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR, after combining the VASS Urozhai with Kolkhozshy a new Voluntary Agriculture Sport Society (VASS) of the Kazakh SSR was formed. It was given a name - Kairat. Since 1956, the football team from the Division B - Urozhai Almaty had been renamed to Kairat.
