From the first day Almaty Central Stadium is home for FC Kairat. 1960 was a historical year for Kazakhstan football. Our country got a place in Class A (previous name for First Division) which was taken by the best Club in Kazakhstan – FC Kairat. For the first time our supporters had a chance to see the best football clubs of USSR coming to Almaty. All games were played at Almaty Central Stadium.
First FC Kairat’s game in the First Division was played at Almaty Central Stadium. 10th April, 1960 our debut match against "Admiralty" from Leningrad ended with a draw 0:0. The Stadium was full.
Almaty Central Stadium was built in 1958. It is an oval building, divided into 4 inserts passages podium: the northern, western, southern and eastern. The total capacity of the stands is 23,804 seats.
Location: Almaty, Abay st, 48. If you are travelling by car, there are two entrances - from the streets of Satpayev and Abay. If you are walking, you can get in from the streets of Abay, Satpaev and Baitursynov.
The playing field is natural grass, smooth and even, in good condition. Games on the field can be carried out throughout the national season. The field size is 105 m by 68 m
There are 23 804 individual seats on the Stadium, numbered, fixed with the metal corners, providing comfort to our visitors. Minimum height of the backrest is 38cm.
Central stadium is equipped with lighting system, which allows to host events in the evening. Lighting power is 1400 lux.
The playing ground has a natural grass and always in a good condition. Fixtures can be hosted throughout the whole season.
